  This is the unfortunate part for pets who have owners that decide they cant handle the responsibilities of a pet dump them then lay the blame on others. Classic dog owner behavior. Did you call to let them know you would be back? They arent murderers, they were doing their job. Dont get a dog or any pet if you cant handle the responsibility. Ive seen too many dogs in just my neighborhood whose owners dont care. It would be better for these dogs to have the same fate as yours than to live a life in a home where they arent cared for. I will always trust that the Animal Control will do the right thing. If my dog met the same fate, I know the blame would be on me for leaving him there. I mean really how dare you blame them for something you did. These are good people with a hard job. 50 dogs a day = 50 irresponsible dog owners a day. Losing your dog is different than dumping it "because you are angry". I would call every shelter the moment I found my dog missing. Instead of convincing us to avoid Animal Control, convince yourself the next time you want a pet that YOU are better off without one.
